Beginner farmer support program

A free six month cohort program centering BIPOC beginning farmers (urban and rural).

Classes 4th Wednesdays 11:00am – 2:00pm (January 26, February 23, March 23, April 27, May 25, June 22, 2022)

Peer Sharing and Feedback Sessions 2nd Saturdays 11:00am – 2:00pm (February 12, March 12, April 9, May 14, June 11, 2022)

Most sessions will be online. If possible, we will do 1-2 in person events in Central Massachusetts with virtual participation options.

  • Building Your Market
  • Designing Your Governance
  • Fundraising Assistance
  • Mentorship

Taught by Global Village Farms staff and regional partners.

Any beginning farmer may apply. Priorities will be given to:

  • Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) and immigrant / migrant people
  • People living in New England
  • Individuals and groups interested in implementing cooperative business structures
